Just as a matter of interest, do you prefer turnip and potato mashed together or served seperately?!

Question: Just as a matter of interest, do you prefer turnip and potato mashed together or served seperately?
This came up in a meeting this afternoon...

Answers:

i love them mashed together...preferably without any lumps though!

Separately. Turnip is sweet, nutty and comforting. Potato mash is simpler, more subtle and comforting.

Turnips are not 'in season' for long so eat them as they are and have normal potato mash the rest of the year!

I,ve never heard of turnips and potatoes mashed together.I'll bet my grandma did..I'd sure put them together the turnips well add flavor and texture. Don't forget the butter and sour cream. Grandma Sue

I like celeriac mashed with potato and swede mashed with carrot but I have never heard of turnip and mash and I don't think I would like it.

My mum used to mash carrots and turnips together and I liked them, but she never mashed turnips and potatoes together.

Together in a scalloped turnip and potatoe recipe with a little blue cheese, garlic and heavy cream.

I hate turnip's, but swede and mashed potato's with a little pepper, now you talking!

seperately
