Hoe long can sushi sit in the fridge for?!

Question: Hoe long can sushi sit in the fridge for?
If I picked up fresh sushi at 5:00 p.m., then went home and did something until 6:30 p.m.- would it still be okay to eat?

So, in the fridge for like 1/5 hours after it was just made?

Answers:

Sushi should be made fresh and then eaten straight away. If you need to store it, 24 hours is usually OK, if it is not too warm/hot. Try to avoid using the fridge because this causes the rice to harden and it isn't very tasty after that.

Sure, it will be fine. Shouldn't be a difference at all in that short of a time. We actually get takeout containers if we have leftovers at our regular sushi place. It goes in the frig in less than 15mins and it's fine the next day- it doesn't look as pretty and the rice has dried out some- but it still tastes good.

Less than 24 hours if this is FRESH Sushi. Consume this Sushi as soon as possible if you bought it from a deli or restaurant.

We eat Sushi as well as fast food as test taste consumers.

Fresh is really the only way to eat sushi. The next day its okay, but never the same.

Yes, if properly refrigerated, up to 24 hours MAX

Give me the food!

i would not keep it in the fridge more than a day
