if i put egg whites in frosting will it have to be refridgerated until just before eating?!

Question: If i put egg whites in frosting will it have to be refridgerated until just before eating?
just need to know. thanks!

Answers:

It will need to be kept cold if the eggs are not cooked. You can safely keep it at room temperature for up to 4 hours with no problem. I would suggest that if you do need to refrigerate it, that you frost the cake and then keep the cake refrigerated so that you wont have trouble spreading it onto the cake. And be sure to let it sit at room temperature for 30 mn before you serve it.

Not if you cook the frosting. Mergingues go unrefrigerated without a problem.

well you will put that frosting on a cake so yeah of course you will have to refregerate it.

i agree with vish
