Can i use corn flour in this recipe instead of plain flour?!


Question: Can i use corn flour in this recipe instead of plain flour?
No Bake Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup cooked minute rice
1/2 cups peanut butter
1/2 cup coconut
1 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup flour
4 tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions:
In a food processor, combine rice, peanut butter, coconut, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, flour, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, chili powder, cayenne, and brown sugar. Pulse until mixture sticks to the side. Form into tablespoon sized balls and roll in remaining cocoa powder and cinnamon. Chill for art least 2 hours.

Makes: 1 dozen cookies, Preparation time: 15-20 minutes

Well, to be honest, I am not too sure why the flour is in there to start with! And a 1/4 cup is quite a lot of uncooked flour. I do believe I would just try the recipe without the flour and see what happens. You can always add some a spoonful at at time if it is not turning into a sticky mix. I see no reason why you could not substitute cornflour in this recipe, although the gluten (i.e. the "glue factor") will be slightly different. Good luck!



No you can't, cornflour is mainly used just to thicken runny foods like stew, etc.



IT probably make it taste differently don't jack up the cookies go to the store



As it chills it will become grainy.

Not good eats.
