Do you know how to determine the day bread was stocked on the shelf?!

Question: Do you know how to determine the day bread was stocked on the shelf?
I was once told that you could determine when bread was stocked on the shelf by the color of the tie. For instance a red tie meant one day of the week, brown meant another day, and so on...

Answers:

Yes I do - the color code is as follows:

MONDAY = BLUE
TUESDAY = GREEN
WEDNESDAY = NONE
THURSDAY = RED

It depends on the bakery.

Look on the plastic tag that most bakeries use these days. That's the date I go by.

In Ontario supermarkets they use a date stamped closure tag on bread.

stand around till it come in
