Question: Have you got a nice recipe for home made rice pudding?

a nice simple one is
2 1/2 oz Pudding rice
1 pint of milk
1oz sugar
Nutmeg
some butter

Mix the rice sugar and milk in an ovenproof dish , throw in a handfull of raisins, dot with butter over the milk and sprinkle or grate some nutmeg . Pop into a warm oven and cook really slow for about 2 to 3 hours . oven 150 degres delicious x



Ingredients

* 2 cups water
* 1 cup long grain rice
* 3 cups milk
* 3/4 cup sugar
* 1 (8 ounce) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
* 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen raspberries, thawed
* 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

1. In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. stir in rice. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in milk and sugar. Cook 20-30 minutes longer or until rice is tender and mixture is thick and creamy. Remove from the heat; cool. Fold in whipped topping. Refrigerate.
2. Drain raspberries, reserving juice. In a small saucepan, combine the cornstarch and reserved juice until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in raspberries. Remove from the heat; cool.
3. Spoon the rice pudding into individual dishes; top with the raspberry mixture. Cover and refrigerate until serving.



In top of double boiler/bain marie, put 1 cup dry rice and 3 cups milk, half n half or cream (your choice) and 1 cup sugar (brown or white)

cook over simmering water and stir until it is nice and thick and rice is cooked.

stir in 1 tablespoon vanilla extract.

serve warm or chill.



Boil 200g of basmati rice, mix with a large black pudding then cover with double cream. Lovely.
