Why did I see eggs in a vegetarian cook book?!
Answers:
Generally in western countries, vegetarianism refers to lacto-ovo vegetarianism, which includes dairy and egg. In countries such as India, vegetarianism generally refers to lacto vegetarianism, which includes dairy, but excludes egg.
There are various degrees of vegetarianism.
Some just don't eat meat, so they eat eggs and fish, some don't eat meat or fish but do eat eggs, and some eat none of the above.
Eggs are in the vegetarian cook book because its for vegetarians. Dont get that mixed up with vegan. You cant eat eggs if you are a vegan. Vegetarians can eat them because eggs aren't considered meat.
Some vegetarians eat eggs b/c the animal wasnt killed alot vegatarian food products that say 100 percent vegetarian have eggs and cheese in it but Vegans dont eat anything that comes from animals
It would be considered a "lacto-ovo vegetarian" cook book - for one who doesn't eat meat, but does eat milk and egg products.
vegetarians can eat eggs, fish, and other seafood but you mite be thinking vegans.
