Eating raw mince pork?!

Question: Eating raw mince pork?
Hello, Recently I ate around 8 - 10 bites of raw minced pork, when I say raw, I mean I microwaved it for 2minutes and 30 seconds, I think this is insufficent, is this enough to cause any harm or is the pork cooked enough to kill off atleast __% of the bacteria, please answer I'm really worried =(. thankyou.

Answers:

Pork or pig meat is now safe to eat as it no longer carries the worms that it had in the past. It is regularly served rare in restaurants. Modern farming and slaughtering methods together with veterinary intervention have eliminated any problems. I live in the UK so can't speak for anywhere else. But then we do have the best beef pork lamb and venison in the world here in UK.

Eating undercooked pork is an absolute no-no. Besides bacteria, you can get worms (trichinosis) from pork that isn't properly cooked, and you won't know it for awhile.

You should be fine. I actually watched a cooking show called, Secrets of a restaurant chef and she made undercooked pork chops and if it wasn't safe, she wouldn't have cooked it. You will be ok.

That's is so so so so risky.
Your bound to get sick somehow, serious or not.
But just in case, if you suffer 'the runs' stomach cramps, or vomiting see a doctor ASAP.

And don't do it again.
Good luck.

i've been eating raw beef and pork for a good 40 years and I"ve never had a problem and by raw I"m meaning right out of the package with no cooking.

Would have been sick by now.

People eat chicken sashimi nowadays... I guess you're good to go.
