Ok if I'm reading this correctly you are making a cake a need something to use...is that correct?? If so you 2 best choices are either mayonnaise (NOT Kraft dressing just mayo) or oil, in that order. I discovered the mayo trick with an amazingly rich chocolate cake recipe that used that as it's fat.

If you Google cakes w/oil (I'll put a link below) you'll see tons of options.

PS for those who posted thinking it's for health reasons and discussing that, I'd strongly suggest "I Can't Believe It's Not butter" in stick form. It is the ONLY substitute I've found that truly works well...and I've tried them all (thanks to high cholesterol inherited from both dang sides of the family).

Ironically that Mayo cake....the million dollar cake it was called, is one I splurge w/sometimes as it's such a nice, dense texture. And btw either oil or mayo work for making cake mix cookies!

Personal knowledge but here's a link for some recipes;

Bananas will work, but you need to tweak some other ingredients if it's over 1/2 cup.

Believe me. This works and tastes great! If butter is absent in the house, you can bake a fine cake anyway, Julia Child notwithstanding. Lol.

Been there. Cooked that!

I thought you may be doing this because you are Vegan, until I read you considered using condensed milk instead, which means you could not be Vegan. Which makes it a little confusing why you just cannot simply use butter as the recipe suggests?

Use the butter. If you are trying to replace it for health reasons, don't. Your body deals with the fats and calories of butter better than any of its substitutes.

I agree with the first answerer. It is truly best for you to go and get some more butter. It is really hard to find a substitute for it.

Go buy the butter. Nothing replaces butter - not even margarine as some companies will have you believe.

Julia Child always insisted on using butter. There's a reason for that.

I would give the bananas a go as they would be a good taste also.

just buy some
