Olive pate - usage of..?!

Question: Olive pate - usage of..?
I'd found a jar of olive pate and decided to put a large tablespoon of this into a big pot of beef bolognaise I've made. It seems to taste ok I suppose. Was this wise?

Well, it's usually used for appetizers, and I've never heard of olives as an ingredient in B/B, but if it tastes good, go for it! Some of the most wonderful recipes came about by accident.

Yes. I also sometimes add it to home made pizzas or to tomatoey stews/soups to give them a kick.
It is best on a canapé or hot sandwiches though!

Sure, why not!
