Question: HELP ASAP: Cake Recipe Help Needed!?
I have a cake recipe that calls for all-purpose flour, and I only have self-raising flower. Please take a look at the recipe and tell me what I should do. Should I completly take out the baking soda, and poweder, or just put a certian amt.?

1 cup cocoa powder
2 cups boiling water
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
2-1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs, at room temperature
2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Use the self rising flour and loose the baking powder, Keep the baking soda and salt.



My mom's guideline was "omit the soda, use 1/2 the salt".
