What is Flan usually served with?!


Question: What is Flan usually served with?
What is plain flan (not the special types) served with. Are you normally supposed to have it with coffee, a liqueur, ice cream, etc?

I like Flan as a dessert after having a spicy Mexican meal. It calms everything down.
If I were going to eat it by itself, I would want it with maybe a couple of ginger snap cookies and a clear some kind of bubbly drink. I would not want any other flavors to interfere with the rich taste of the Flan.

I serve Flan with some sort of cookie!! NOT coffee, liqueur or ice cream. that is overkill.

Caramel Flan with Biscochitos
Plain Vanilla Flan with sugar cookies
Swedish Flan with Spritz

You can follow the dessert with coffee if you like.

Usually just coffee.

With tomato ketchup
