Micro oven cooks food using radio waves, using special micro oven bowls, where as oven cooks based on filament. And micro oven is much faster than oven.

Well, ovens can cook larger items of food such as a pizza or a cake and for much longer without burning the product.A microwave oven can be used just to heat up food or to kind of make it crispy. The microwave ovens can also heat up food such as say chicken that was already cooked or like some french fries. There is also a difference between a microwave and a microvave oven. The difference is a microwave can make things sometimes soggy but they are good to heat up tv diinners. But a microwave oven makes things crispy. An oven also makes things crispy but larger items.I like ovens better for when meals are being cooked but i like microwave ovens when i just want to heat up a snack or toast some bread.

Basically a microwave uses microwave radiation which is absorbed by the molecules of water and other substances within the food causing them to "shake" and heat up the food.
An oven puts a heat source outside of the food and raises the temperature from the outside to the inside of that food

Microwaves work by using radiation to heat moisture (from the inside out).

Ovens heat from outside in.

Convection ovens fan the heat around for a more perfect distribution of heat.

Microwaves are a last resort.
Electric ovens are ok.
Gas ovens are the best.

I don't think they make induction ovens yet?
Not sure they would even make sense to have?

I know my oven, it heats at the back right, you really need to know what you are working with.
Microwave fans will tell you how to work, and they should know.
Baking is a science, but heating from the inside out will always leave your food dryer.

An oven heats food gradually, using fire.

A microwave uses radiation to extract water from the food. That's why metal catches on fire in the microwave, but not in the oven.

Microwaves will boil a cup of water in one minute. They are fast cooking of any type of food.

Ovens are slow and take several hours on some foods. They are good for cooking cakes, pies, roasting chickens, and etc.

microwave: for warming up food quickly.
* MAY CAUSE SOGGY FOOD *

oven: for cooking/baking food thoroughly for safe eating.

An oven relies on electric supply to cook or heat up foods, while microwave oven uses microwaves to heat up food. Thats the reason you will sense a change in taste of food

An oven doesn't have a microwave. But a microwave oven does. :)
