can you kill a lobster and freeze it and it be safe to eat?!

Question: Can you kill a lobster and freeze it and it be safe to eat?
My friends and I were debating it? I thought that you can't kill a lobster before cooking because it could make you really sick? Does anyone know?

Answers:

As long as the lobster is alive when you buy it, you can kill it and keep it refrigerated for a few hours before cooking it. If you want to freeze it, you should boil the lobster for 5 minutes. Cool under cold running water, remove the meat from the shell and freeze it.

The problem with lobster comes when it's dead when you buy it because you don't know how long it's been dead.

Lived my whole life on the New England seacoast and eat lobster every couple of weeks.

if you kill the lobster and immediately freeze it, it will be ok to eat later. the best thing to do is kill the lobster and pull the tail section from the body and freeze the tail. after a lobster dies, it starts to release an enzyme that will deteriorate the meat and turn it into mush.

Yes i eat.
