if i put less cream of tarter in my bread..?!
how will the flavor change?
i ran out of cream of tarter and should porbably get some more but its almost midnight( i wanted a midnight snack.. craving bread:) )..... it was dumb of me not to check my ingredients before i started.. but bread sounds soo good!:)

I'm guessing your bread recipe calls for cream of tartar and baking soda for a quick bread instead of being a yeast bread. Hopefully, you haven't put in the baking soda or your lesser amount of cream of tartar. Those two ingredients are in baking powder...2 parts cream of tartar and 1 part baking soda. So substitute baking powder for both the cream of tartar and baking soda. No change in flavor or rising agent. If you're just a little short, just go with it and your bread will be a little denser, but still taste fine.
