what's the difference between regular butter and butter spread?!

Question: What's the difference between regular butter and butter spread?
Answers:

Ok so there are really three different products, stick butter and whipped butter, both of those are just that butter made from milk. Whipped butter in a tub has been whipped so that it has more air in it and that makes it easier to spread. "Butter" spread or margarine are made from vegetable oil, and some other additives to make it the color of butter or to add flavor. My opinion is only eat butter. It taste better and is better for you. I find margarine to be "greasy"..

Real butter all the way! If you want spreadable butter, just put it in container and keep it in cabinet/counter top. It will be nice and soft. Never the "spreadable butter". That stuff is unhealthy. Margarine is one molecule away from beginning plastic. True story.

Read the ingredients. Butter is just butter - the spreads usually have some butter and the rest is some sort of vegetable oil.

You're better off with pure butter than hydrogenated shortening, and ALL fats have about 100 calories per spoonful.

I believe spreadable butter is mixed with vegetable oil. If you check the side of the packaging it should tell you what it is.

Butter spread is softer and will prevent bread brutality? :P and butter is real and made of milk

real butter is way better for you and its mostly harder where as the spread is more artificial but yet more convenient for spread...hence the word

Real butter tastes much better. It is all I use. Butter spread is cheaper and doesn't taste as good.
