Go into a local bakery and find out what the going rate is for the cake you intend to make. Your price wouldn't be as high because you aren't paying the overhead charges to run the bakery.

Well, you need to get the cost of the ingredients covered, and then you could see what the cost would be based on the amount of work needed to make the cake (and the hourly wage you would charge).

@question asker: Ok, so you're not ten. What country do you happen to be in? If I'm going to answer the question, I need to use your currency as well as your country's cost of labor, your country's cost of ingredients, and your country's common markup on these items. Not difficult, but I need that information to answer accurately. I could answer using my country's cost of labor, ingredients and common markup, but that would likely not be correct for you.

What do you mean. Are you making the cake for someone or are you asking that someone to make a cake for you. If you are, they should be charging you not you charging them. if you making the cake, then a lot depends on how big, and how difficult it is.
