Can I keep my cake in the freezer tonight?!

Question: Can I keep my cake in the freezer tonight?
I baked a cake for my husbands bday party tomorrow. It's all completely decorated and now I don't have any room in my fridge for the cake I have all this meat marinating in there for the party, but I do have room in my freezer. Can I just keep it in the freezer for one night and then take it out in the morning, the party isn't until 5pm tomorrow?

Sure you can. Just be sure to take it out in time and make sure it is in a tightly sealed container.

I would place it in a cabinet with a cover over it rather than freezing it. I assume you have saran or cling wrap or a cake cover? It will not spoil unless you live in a place that has high humidity and high temps for 24 hours.

My experience with freezing iced decorated cakes is that the decorations fall off when being defrosted.

Unless the cake has cream cheese frosting or whipped cream, there's really no reason it needs to BE in the fridge. Just cover it well, and leave it on the counter.
Bakeries keep cakes in the fridge because they are kept for a week or more, so one day will be fine.

For just one night, it's not imported to keep the cake in the freezer. If you have a room in your home that you keep the heat lower, then the rest, put the cake in there. Covered. Should be fine.

I do this myself.

Of course you can! Make sure it is sealed in a tupperware container & remove it 1st thing in the morning to give it plenty of time to thaw out before the party.

You can as long as it is sealed.

if you used fondant -DO NOT put it in the freezer or frig- just cover the cake and sit it in the counter it will be fine.

yuppers

make sure that I don't se it first
