Braising Steak... Help!!.?!

Question: Braising Steak... Help!!.?
I have braising steak sat in the freezer that I want to use tonight, but don't want to do the same old stew/casserole..

I would like (if possible) to do a curry type of dish with it, problem is I don't have much in the way of ingredients, so any help would be fantastic.

The ingredients I have:

Braising steak
Basmati Rice
Garlic (cloves and powder)
Flour (Plain and corn)
Oil (Olive, Groundnut and Vegetable)
Stock (Beef and Chicken)
Dried Chilli Flakes
Turmeric
Ground Coriander
Soy Sauce
Paprika
5 Spice mix
Dry sherry
Onions
Mushrooms
Tomatoes (Chopped)
Baked Beans
Potatoes.

Like I say, not the best ingredients list in the world, so any suggestions will be superb. Thanks in advance.

Hungarian goulash

Meat
paprika
garlic
Beef stock
tomatoes
onions

Slice the onions and cook them in oil until soft, take them out of the pan and put them aside.
Cut the meat up, coat it in a paprika, salt and pepper mixture. Cook in the pan until brown all over.
Put the onions back, add the tomatoes and garlic. Cover and simmer until cooked. Keep an eye on it and add water if necesary.
Traditionally you wouldn't put mushrooms in but I would slice some and put them in when the meat begins to get tender, for the last half hour or so.
You could add the potatoes and make it an all in one pot.
Or add chilli flakes and coriander for a spicy version and serve with rice.

Not left yourself much time to cook the steak. Takes a while or it will be tough. Get it cooked until tender, then add tomatoes, fried chopped onion, coriander, pinch turmeric, chilli flakes, garlic and salt. All of course, to your taste.
Your ingredients are more for chinese. Chop onions chunky, fry with quartered mushrooms. Add cooked braising steak, with 3 tbsp dry sherry, 2 tbsp soy sauce and some water to make enough sauce, some ginger (if you have any) or try a small amount of chilli flakes, not to make it hot just to spice it up a little. Thicken with corn flour. Serve both with boiled rice.

I could give you a great curry recipe but sadly I use my mobile phone to access the net so it would take me all day lol. So instead I'll tell you about a great indian website. It's called Mamta's kitchen. An indian housewife living in london has put all her home cooked recipes online. Check it out.
