Question: Making a strawberry mousse cake, can I make the day before the party?

I'm making a cake where you have regular cake with a strawberry mousse in between layers. I have never done a layered cake before. My question is if I make the cake today, will it be ok for tomorrow or will the mousse go flat and the cake get soggy? I dont have time to make it tomorrow before the party.

(the strawberry mousse will be made with real strawberries. The cake is a strawberry box mix from Pillsbury)

To keep the cake from becoming too soggy sieve some strawberry jam to make it smooth then spread on the cake layers before filling with the mousse.

yes you will be alright as long as you refrigerate the cake
