Question: Is my old Wear-Ever pans safe?
This pan set is probably 30-40 years old and the pans are pitted.

They should be fine (as long as they were not coated). Make sure that you wash them well first if they were in storage.

Most Wear Ever did not have any coatings. If you have a set with a "teflon" coating, they are safe
until the coating starts to flake off. That coating is not safe and can build up and remain in your digestive system. If that is happening, then either turn them in as scrap metal or throw them away.

Yes - pitted pans aren't unsafe. Unsafe would come from peeling non-stick surface, or even rust, but pitted doesn't present a problem.

i wouldn't bet on it what i would do is go and get new ones
