Question: What to cook my boyfriend for our valentine's meal?
i'm cooking for my boyfriend this valentines day, what do you think of this menu as an idea?

for starter, camembert and roasted garlic on french stick
for main, crab and salmon fishcakes with tartare sauce and potatoes
and for dessert, chocolate fondue with things to dip

is this okay? if not, what could i cook instead? and what kind of things could i have with the fondue?

Looks yummy!

For the fondue... fruit (strawberries, bananas...) and small easy-to-dip pieces of pound cake

Here's some more great ideas from http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001…

Different things to dip in chocolate fondue:

Fruits: sliced bananas (grilled + caramelized, even better), apples, pears, peaches, pineapples, dried fruit, citrus sections, strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blackberries.

Cakes and other sweet things: angel food cake, graham crackers, marshmallows, tiny brownies, tiny cookies, lady fingers, shortbread, amaretti, biscotti, crystallized ginger chunks, or meringues.

ehh fishcakes, sounds a little fishy... lol I would say something easy like roast a whole chicken at 400, give it a good rub down with salt pepper garlic powder rosemary and basil and olive oil, before cooking it. cook to 165. and have some water or chicken broth in bottom of pan to keep it moist, baste at least every 20 min, its delicious...
When my mom sets up her chocolate fountain we dip: cut up pineapple, strawberries, bananas, oreos, pretzel rods, marshmellows,
They're all so good can't pick a favorite, I'd say the pretzels and bananas aren't nearly as good as everything else!

Items for chocolate fondue: pineapple, pound cake, marshmallows, strawberries
Also make sure you add a bit of oil to the chocolate so that it doesn't clump

This food sounds delicious, I would eat it.

But if you need a comfort food try:
Fancy baked macaroni and cheese (onions, nice cheese)
scallops wrapped in bacon
diced tomatoes mixed with parsley and mozzarella cheese on small pieces of sliced french bread

Sounds delightful. You should have him bring the wine or dessert. Fondue like this is kinda sexual and could be cooled and used on certain body parts.

If your okay with kissing him after he has garlic everything looks great ;)

This sounds great.I would go with this.
