Red Lobsters shrimp Alfredo sauce

1 pint of Heavy Cream
1 stick of butter
2 Tbsp. Cream Cheese
1/2 - 3/4 C. Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. Garlic powder
add as much cooked shrimp as you like when the sauce is done
Pour over Ferruccine

In a saucepan combine butter, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Simmer this until all is melted, and mixed well. Add the Parmesan cheese and Garlic powder. Simmer this for 15 - 20 minutes on low. You may wish to season with a little salt and pepper. I have done this with half and half, but we prefer the heavy cream. But I wouldn't try it with plain milk.

let the sauce simmer about an hour or so.

i don't know how close it is to Red Lobster's Shrimp Alfredo, but I do make a Fast Alfredo sometimes with shrimp and sometimes with chicken. IMO it tastes far and away better than the Alfredo Sauces you can buy in a jar.

Doc Hudson

Fast Alfredo

1 8*oz package Cream Cheese
3 oz (about 3/4cup) grated Parmesan Cheese
1 stick (1/2 cup) Butter
? Cup Milk

In a large skillet, melt the Cream Cheese, Butter and Parmesan Cheese over medium-low heat. Stir constantly.

When all is melted an combined, add milk, whisk in and continue to heat until it just begins to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens (3-5 minute).

Serve immediately over fettuccine.

Variations:
#1 - Season two or three boneless, skinless chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and other spices as desired. Cut into bite-sized pieces and sauté in a few tablespoons of olive oil until golden brown. Remove from skillet and prepare Alfredo Sauce. Return chicken to the skillet while sauce is simmering to reheat.

#2 – Saute Shrimp in olive oil until just barely done. Remove from skillet and prepare Alfredo Sauce. Return shrimp to skillet during the simmer and heat through.
