Edible Paper Dinosaur Donuts?!
Okay, so, my sister was baking some Monkey Bread today, and we started talking about eating dough and stuff when we were kids. And then she reminded me of these weird donut kits we had as kids.
They were little sheets of 'wafer' type pastry... about as thick as a piece of cardboard, and they had dino shapes on them. You then popped them out of the sheets, put them in the fryer (or pot of hot oil), and they poofed up into dinosaur donuts. Then you could sprinkle icing sugar on them, they were freaking AMAZING.
I was just wondering if anyone else remembered making those, and maybe remembered what they were called. They were so neat... and I can almost taste them right now lol
