replace half the butter with peanut butter or your cookies will be greasy.
Then you can add your 1/2 cup peanut butter

EDIT: I am curious, why did you go ahead and make the batter BEFORE asking the question?

"i have flour and dry ingredients set aside and the butter, 1/2 cup of peanut butter and sugar mixed together.. what should i do now?"

You can just double the recipe. The only thing you have too much of is butter. So double everything else and leave the butter as it is.

If you add peanut butter cut the butter in half and if there is salt added to you peanut butter cut that in half also.

You may want to decrease the butter to 1 1/2 sticks.
You don't want a dough to be to soft.

Looks great!

Use it in place of half the butter or they will be greasy and too soft.
