Does anyone like fried baloney?!
Answers:
My mom ate it my whole life growing up. I think it's a southern thing. She would put fried baloney on sandwich bread with mayo. Not for me but she loves it!
Oh, colorful, you just made me have the fondest memories of my dad! He has been gone for 15 years, but he just loved fried baloney! He would make some slits in it and it would still curl up and it always reminded me of a flower. It was always a special treat when dad would cook and this was one of the things he liked to make for us.....because our mother wouldn't! She thought it was gross. Thanks for making me think of this....... (And yes, I liked it, but I haven't had it since I was little - I just like good beef baloney - not fried - on a sandwich.)
I am 70 plus and my father had us eat the stuff as a child and I will not consider it now at all , nothing but artery clogging fat. But if you must place in oven with an egg in the meat cup cut thick and place in a muffin or tart pan and broil .
yes and when you fry it it shapes into a cup a nice bowl to serve peas in ,sort of a nest shape very nice to serve at Easter time .
I love fried baloney. My favorite is fried baloney LTs. Made just like a BLT, but with fried baloney instead of bacon.
Yes!
It's terrible for me, so it's just a couple times a year treat.
It has to be on white bread (also a treat) with mustard.
No Baloney!
Oh yeah, love them. Just don't eat them as much anymore. But I like a fried egg and bologna sandwich with mayonnaise.
