What do you think of this recipe?!
Or would it be better omitting the potatoes, replacing the potatoes with tomatoes or dicing the potatoes instead?
Answers:
Omit the potatoes- too much starch. The baguette serves the starch purpose. Replace them with diced colby or cheddar, Hard boiled eggs, capers, sliced green olives, and a little bit of diced sweet pickle (optional). Sprinkle some paprika on top before baking.
Bread and potatoes don't mix for me.
Either ditch the potatoes and just put the tuna mixture in a baguette (would be even better with a few olives or a topping of melted cheese).
Or ditch the baguette and bake it like a fish/potato pie, with a breadcrumb topping. (Would be even better served with a white parsley sauce).
Sorry, but it doesn't appeal to me.
Canned tuna and mashed potatoes doesn't sound like a good combination to me.

Omit the baguette - try placing the potato-tuna mix in a ramekin
top with a breadcrumb & cheese mix then bake.
IT sounds nice ,,,,,,,,,a twist could be leave out the potatoes and add the tuna mix to some cooked pasta cheese on top 10 minuets in the oven to melt the cheese
That just sounds really unappetizing.... Sorry...
