How do you double a pulled pork (braise) recipe? Specifically cooking time w/ two shoulder cuts in one pot.?!

Question: How do you double a pulled pork (braise) recipe? Specifically cooking time w/ two shoulder cuts in one pot.?
I'm making a braised pulled pork for tomorrow's game and I've made it a number of times before. It calls for a 4 lb pork shoulder and tells you to cook it for 4 hours at 325 (or until fork tender). That timing usually works well. Well, I'm increasing the recipe and got two roasts, a 3.5 lb and a 4.5 lb. one. I'm wondering if I:
1) can cook them together in the same pot
2) If it's ok just to double the recipe of all the other ingredients
3) If I have to take one out before the other if they're in the same pot
4) how much I increase the cooking time (I assume there's some kind of rule of thumb according to weight)?

Any help you could give me would be great, thanks!

If both fit in the pan then it should be alright...if you are cooking in the oven...check after 4 hours to see how much longer you need to cook......You can double the recipe for all other ingredients...

Good luck....

Putting a pork shoulder in a pot is kin to sinning against the pork gods, but just put them both in the pot if it is big enough, and cook at least 4 hrs. Throw away pork and juices, then eat the pot. I'll be slow smoking mine with hickory and white oak.
