Angel Food Cake? Presents?!

Question: Angel Food Cake? Presents?
OK, my dad's birthday is the 13th, and my mom is away until two days before his birthday and is working full time those two days so I'm in charge of cake and presents as I am the only one that can bake. So, I decided to make him an angel food cake. We have the pan, and I have made it before with my mom, so the actual baking isn't a problem. But, what do you put on an angle food cake? Icing? Fruit? Jelly? I bought vanilla icing and we are going to buy strawberries and whipped cream but what do I do?

Oh, and I have no clue what to get him as a present, it's his 50th birthday so it has to be something really good! Thank You SOOO much for the help!

All of the above sound great. My favorite is the whipped cream and strawberries. Some people make a thin glaze - vanilla or lemon or orange and drizzle that on it while it's still a little warm. Go with what you think your dad will like best. I don't think you can go wrong with any of your ideas.

I think that the strawberries and whipped cream sounds good. Chocolate frosting is good.

Yes. Icing. Or frosting, whatever you like actually.

I have had angel food cake iced with cool whip and sliced strawberry's layered on top. With slices of strawberry's pushed in around the bottom .
As for a gift think of something fun that your Dad would enjoy, only your family can answer that question, so ask them for help.
