are orange habaneros safe?!

Question: Are orange habaneros safe?
I'm making some chili and I diced up (real small) just a little bit of a orange habanero. About the size of half of a dime. I must have got some on my skin (my nose) because it is on fire right now. I'm wondering if this chili will be safe to eat? I have already mixed it in.

"Habanero chili peppers are rated 100,000–350,000 on the Scoville scale." Safe but very hot.

It is perfectly safe but extremely HOT as you have just experienced..Perhaps the small amount you have used in the chili will be ok but still pretty spicy..I never get them because they are just toooo hot for us.Serve plenty of icy colkd drinks with this one..Some people like the heat Good luck

bluesky, orange habaneros aren't safe, if burnt on skin

Any spicy chili does that. Be careful next time. It'll be fine to eat. Habanero has a delicious flavor.
