i'm at a loss as to what to suggest to a person who doesn't like onion.
About the only recipes i have that don't use onion or garlic are cakes, pies and other sweets.
Even my infamous Creamy leek Soup and Cheddar Cheese Soup have onion in them.
Well i'll see what I can do for you, but I warn you, if you came to my house for a week you'd either starve or learn to like onions. ;-{p>

This is a delicious soup that is almost as good cold as it is hot, and the color makes it a very attractive dish.
SAN DIEGO'S HOTEL DEL CORONADO BORSCHT
3 lg. beets (2 1/2"), scrub
thoroughly, but do not break skin
2 lg. cloves garlic, peeled & crushed
Cover above ingredients with water and cook until tender. Remove beets from water. Reserve the cooking water. Skin and discard the skin. In blender, blend beets with 1 cup reserved liquid; add:
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar or 1 tbsp. fructose
2 c. buttermilk
Serve hot or cold with 1 teaspoon yogurt per serving. Makes 8 (1/2 cup) servings.
(Personally I prefer it with sour cream rather than yogurt. Doc)
Fast Alfredo
1 8*oz package Cream Cheese
3 oz (about 3/4cup) grated Parmesan Cheese
1 stick butter
? Cup Milk
In a large skillet, melt the Cream Cheese, Butter and Parmesan Cheese over medium-low heat. Stir constantly.
When all is melted an combined, add milk, whisk in and continue to heat until it just begins to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens (2-5 minute).
Serve immediately over fettuccine.
Variations:
#1 - Season two or three boneless, skinless chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and other spices as desired. Cut into bite-sized pieces and sauté in a few tablespoons of olive oil until golden brown. Remove from skillet and prepare Alfredo Sauce. Return chicken to the skillet will sauce is simmering.
#2 – Sautee Shrimp in olive oil until just barely done. Remove from skillet and prepare Alfredo Sauce. Return shrimp to skillet during the simmer and heat through.
Sorry, but these seem to be about the only non-sweet recipes I have that don't have onion and/or mushrooms in them.

Instead of giving you a recipe I'm going to say you should take your ingredients and mix it up. If you like chicken cook the chicken differently before you put it in a sandwich. Try new breads. Add new flavors to your soups. You can even add pepper flakes to your sandwich and suddenly it's something new. So go back look at what you got and try again. If your still having trouble shoot me an email and I'll give some recipes I use when catering. Good Luck and Enjoy.
