I suppose it would b possible, but I have my doubts about how it would taste.
Personally i will stick to butter cream icing for the most part.

well possibly.. never heard of an egg based frosting, but have heard of sour cream and cream cheese..
do a mock test:
why dont you take like a couple tablespoons of mayonnaise, and add some icing sugar (powdered sugar) to it and blend up and add some flavorings to taste.. and coloring if needed... if it tastes good.. then proceed..
do like a cream cheese recipe.. 4 cups of powdered sugar with just a small amount of mayo to start with cause liquid seems to break down the sugar. you dont need much.. ..
Think about that. It would be greasy and salty, so disgusting! Just because it's white doesn't mean it will become frosting.
