if you dont have black food coloring how can you make grey frosting?!
im trying to make a steelers cake but i dont have any black food coloring. the frosting i have is white.

Start by adding equal amouts of red, blue, green and yellow. Start with 2 drops of each and see it that is dark enough.
A light purple looks like grey you can mix red and blue.
If you have any bk jellybeans or licorice you could cook them down in alittle vodka for a homemade bk food coloring
Was an art major. To paint distant mts. shadows and snow you use a lt purple/lavendar
if i were you, i'd just run to walmart right now to get black food coloring.
Go to jewel and buy some black frosting
