What can you use flax seed oil for?!


Question: What can you use flax seed oil for?
I know that flax seed oil is good for you but what can you cook with it? Can you use it for regular cooking and for everything or are there only certain things you can use it with?

Flax seed oil is alot like good olive oil and sesame oil it is used to enhance dishes or flavouring, Flax seed oil is very delicate, so it is not used in frying, I use it in salad dressings, marinated veggies, as a finishing on steamed veggies, I put it into smoothies when blending, you can buy ground flax seeds, I use them as an additive in baking, breads, muffins, pancakes and as a breading for fish and chicken.

Cooking with Flax Seed Oil Never use flaxseed oil in cooking; add it to foods after they have been heated.

Chive-Flax Oil

6 Tablespoons Chives, perfectly dry

? Cup Organic Flaxseed Oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Combine the chives and oil in a blender and process until very smooth. Season with salt and pepper, and transfer to a clean glass jar with a sealable lid. Refrigerate for up to one week. Use on potatoes, pastas and salads. Servings: 8

Mushroom Stroganoff
Excellent over pasta or whole grains

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped (about 1-1/2 cups)
1 medium garlic clove, crushed
1/2 pound mushrooms, thinly sliced (about 4 cups)
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon
1/2 teaspoon paprika
freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup vegetable broth or water
1 tablespoon tahini
2 tablespoons flax oil
1 small tomato, peeled, seeded, and diced (optional)

Heat the olive oil in a skillet. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft. Add the mushrooms and sauté until the mushrooms soften. Add the lemon juice, tarragon, paprika. and pepper. Mix well. Remove from heat. Add the flax oil and tomato and stir until an even consistency is achieved. Serves 2
