I am assuming you are in Great Britain so i have given you Metric conversions, if you need conversions let me know
Marian's Fudge
2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup milk
2 cups white sugar
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Butter a 9x9 inch dish.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine chocolate, butter and milk. Bring to a boil and let boil 1 minute. Stir in sugar and salt until dissolved. Heat, stirring constantly, to between 234 and 240 degrees F (112 to 116 degrees C), or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from the water and placed on a flat surface. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Let cool 10 minutes.
Beat fudge with a spoon until it loses its gloss. Pour quickly into the buttered dish. Refrigerate 30 minutes, until firm.
or you can try
World's Easiest chocolate Truffles
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (substitute with your chocolate)
3 tablespoons whole milk or 3 tablespoons half-and-half cream
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1 Melt and stir together chocolate chips and milk in a double boiler over low heat (or use your microwave); add butter and stir briefly until it is melted; remove from heat; cover and refrigerate four hours or overnight.
2 Form chocolate mixture into small balls using a teaspoon and your fingers; the mixture will seem stiff at first but the heat from your fingers will soften it.
3 Roll truffles in your choice of cocoa powder, chopped nuts (hazelnuts would be a good choice as they are popular in Switzerland), powdered sugar, finely shredded coconut, chocolate sprinkles, or in melted and slightly cooled milk chocolate or white chocolate.
4 Store truffles in the refrigerator for up to one week
Good Luck! Shawna :)
