I want to cook something for dinner...?!

Question: I want to cook something for dinner...?
I always cook/eat chicken and would like a dinner idea that doesn't have chicken in it. I also don't like Italian food so any suggestions?

make a nice hearty stew*

beef cubes, potatoes, carrots, onion, celery.....and make a side dish of fresh salad :))

You can grab a steak, cut it into strips, get some snap peas, red onion, baby corn, mushrooms and red peppers. Then either get some udon noodles or rice, cook whichever you choose as required.

For the steak and veggies, add some honey, soy sauce, sesame oil (just play with these ingredients until you find a combo that works, add sake or mirin, they're asian cooking wines and they'll help you out with flavours if you want to try).

Saute your veggies until soft and then add the meat and then add the noodles. If you're doing rice then saute the veggies and sauce and pour over the rice. If you want do a teriyaki sauce, google a recipe, it's not that hard to make if that's a preference.

Hi,

How about a nice linguine with baby clams? This is a favourite of mine from recipes.com. It's easy and very very tasty! I hope you like baby clams and pasta? You can always cut the recipe in half if it is too much for you...

Ingredients
1 (16 ounce) package linguini pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 (6.5 ounce) cans minced clams, with juice
1/4 cup clam juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste

Directions
1.In a large pot with boiling salted water cook linguini pasta until al dente.
2.Meanwhile, in a medium sized saucepan using medium heat cook olive oil and minced garlic until garlic is translucent. Add chopped clams, clam juice or water, and chopped parsley. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
3.Toss pasta with clam sauce. Serve warm.

I once made this thing with scallops and quinoa and veggies. It was really good. I think it was a little like a stir-fry type thing. You cook the scallops and veggies in a pan and add ginger and some sauce thingy (low sodium something chinese like lol) and then mix it with cooked quinoa. It is very healthy and yummy!

Steak, potatoes, vegetable, and a salad.
