Abundance of Food, Need recipes?!


Question: Abundance of Food, Need recipes?
Single Male here with too much of certain snack foods and I was looking some recipes so I can finish it before it goes bad.

Too much food:
Clementines, raisins, coco wheats (I know its not really an ingredient), strawberry preserves

Keep in mind im just a bacheolor so I only have some basic ingredients, you know things like milk, butter, eggs, sugar, a few spices etc. Thanks for any suggestions!

I am assuming coco wheats are cereal???

Make some homemade granola bars (recipe at hillbilly house wife healthy bars) it has many variations

you can add the raisins to it if you wanted

make cookies with the strawberry preserves (thumbprints would work well)

clementines ( use these in a fruit salad) mix a can of frut cocktail, your clementines with cool whip

That's soooo weird I've never heard of coco wheats before (I'm from Canada) but I looked it up. Alright here's a suggestion...

Try using the coco wheats as a flour for your basic cookies, I'd say get a chocolate chip cookie recipe and then just leave out the chocolate chips (add the raisins if you want). Then make the cookies, bake them and let them cool. Then once cool spread strawberry preserve on the bottom and push them together, to make a chocolate strawberry cookie sandwiches.

If the strawberry is too runny for cookie sandwiches use the coco wheats for plain old muffins and add the strawberries and chocolate and strawberry muffins are delish!

OR you can do coco wheat pancakes and drizzle with strawberry preserves.

OR you can make those coco wheats cookies or muffins or pancakes and then cook the clementines down with sugar to make an orange syrup and use it with really any of those recipes.

I hope this helps! If you have chicken or beef you can add the clemenintes to make an orange stir fry, just squeeze their juice and grate some of the zest and through it in with some meat and veggies and pasta or rice.

Add peanut-butter and roll the Coco Wheats, raisins and strawberry preserves together to make cookies. Or cut the clementines up (I assume you mean tangerines and not cookies) and serve with raisins.



Only the clementines and milk will spoil. The rest of the ingredients have long shelf lives. Peel the fruit and eat out of hand and eat the cereal with milk before bed.
