Yes! I love kippers. I fold a couple of paper towels and place them on a plate, and then I remove the kippers carefully from the can and place them on the paper towels. Then I fold the paper towels on top of them and press lightly a few times to blot the oil off them. I also take off any "skin" that might be on the kippers. Then I eat them in a sandwich on warm, buttered rye toast. It's delicious. If you don't have rye, another toasted bread will do, but rye is best. I much prefer kippers to sardines.
Most often I will mash up and make into sandwiches, or toss through some rice and veggies.
You could add seasonings for taste, but I like that smoky taste, and there is enough salt in them for most people I think.
