without, i sure hope that you younger then 14

Leave it on. The plastic wrap will prevent the food from splattering all over the inside of your microwave as it cooks. Most plastic wraps are microwave safe and wont melt. Anyone who tells you they will melt in a microwave, is probably just assuming this because they would melt in a convection oven. Microwave ovens heat food because high frequency waves rapidly agitate water molecules in the food which in turn generates heat from the friction. Because there is no water molecules in plastic wrap, it wont heat up enough to melt. I know this from experience.

Microwave with the plastic wrap, just loosen a corner to vent steam.

Unless you go nuts and put a silly amount of time on the microwave, it won't melt. if you melt the plastic wrap, you've probably ruined the food already before it melts.

Doc Hudson

Take the glad wrap off and cover the plate with a glass or china lid.
Do NOT cover with aluminium foil. Press the button on your mike that says reheat. Let technology take over from there.

Done it been there !

No, plastic wraps will melt but you need some encasing for proper heating of the food. Take off the glad wrap and put tinfoil on instead.

Cooked for many years.

I don't like microwaving with plastic wrap, you can take it off and replace it with a paper towel to prevent spatters all over the microwave.

..... Without.

Hi Daniel:
Microwave without the glad wrap and make sure you can put the plate
in the microwave.

He he open !. If you do not open now then you will do you?. It is only protection from dirt and small insect.

Logic

Leave it on. And don't put metal in it, that will start a fire.
