Just buy a jar of Gerber baby food!
Steam the potato. It will take less time and you will retain more nutrients that are in the potato.
Mash a bit with a fork this will give her different sizes to pick up.
Steaming can be done in the microwave or on the stove top if you have a steamer basket or if you don't have one of the baskets use a towel. Use a larger pan place the potatoes in a towel and suspend the towel above the water in the pan. Place the lid on the pan and the tight fitting lid will keep the towel from falling into the water.
I think boiling will steep away some of the nutritional value of the potatoes - Dice them, then steam them till really soft, and mash with a little liquid (water, milk, formula, to get the consistency you want.
You can boil the potatoes until soft. Peel them while hot, then mash them up. Or you can cook them in the microwave: Prick the potato and microwave for 8-10 until soft. Peel , cube or mash them.
Just like regular white potato, peel then dice then steam or boil or even cook in the microwave. it should take about 4 minutes or so in the microwave. 8 minutes or less boiling or steaming. check them with a fork.
I would peel and cut them up first, only because they'll cook faster that way. They're done when they're soft -- a fork goes in easily. Then just drain and mash! Soooo simple!
