can you cook with salvia?!

I got a lb of salvia about 30x and while I like smoking it I was wondering if you could put it in food, also if cooking takes all the effect of it out can you just use it like seasoning or by cutting open brownies ir cakes putting it in then using jam or something to seal it back together???
