What side dishes would go good with tequila lime shrimp?!

Question: What side dishes would go good with tequila lime shrimp?
Usually I'd do this recipe as a side dish but this time it will be the main dish, served over cilantro rice. I'm looking for a side dish that would compliment it, preferably a hot and/or spicy one. I been leaning towards asadero cheese stuffed jalapenos...any input or recommendations will be greatly appreciated!!

How about a side of spicy black beans? Maybe grill or saute some onions to soften to go on top, along w/ a dollop of sour cream. I think a simple green salad would be nice... I like to make a vinaigrette w/ some pepper jelly in it to boost the heat quotient when it fits the meal... and it would for yours, I think. Or:

Green Beans with Tomato & Garlic

2 lb(s) Fresh green beans, cleaned with ends removed
1 cup(s) Tomatoes, seeds removed and finely diced
4 clove(s) Garlic, finely chopped
? cup Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste

Bring pot of salted water to a boil. Blanch green beans for 1 minute. Drain and cool under cool running water. In a saute pan, heat olive oil and mix in garlic. Cook for 1 minute and add green beans. Cook green beans with garlic for 1 minute. Add in diced tomatoes to green bean mixture. Cook for 1 minute or until green beans are tender but still green. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.

a salad with spicy greens like arugula
a cold pasta salad
warm angel hair tossed with garlic, basil, a little olive oil and lots of grated parmesan
roasted veggies like asparagus, cherry tomatoes, etc then tossed in a little butter or vinagrette
love your jalapeno idea! I'm all for spicy, cheesy goodness!

I like the idea of the jalapenos. Have you ever tried making a mixture of cream cheese, mozzarella and parmesan and filling jalapeno halves, wrap in bacon and grill or bake. They are awesome. Sometimes I have even put a shrimp in each half and wrapped with bacon and grilled.

While looking for cookbooks online I found a book that has hundreds of recipes from a lot of the famous restaurants including Red Lobster, Applebee's, Olive Garden and The CheeseCake Factory just to name a few. It is loaded with great recipes that I love. Check it out if you want to; http://bit.ly/ePoirn
