It depends on the recipe. If you do try it, grate the onion on a rasp or box grater, and reduce the amount of liquid by the amount of onion you add, to be sure your results aren't soupy.



I really wouldnt know it all depends on the recipe, but 9 out of 10 times, I would say no,
onion powder has a distinct flavor to it that onions do not pocess
