the kind of food you eat doesn't matter
all that matters is calories in/calories out
your body naturally burns about 1500 calories a day without you even knowing it, by the beating of your heart and bodily functions
A pound is about 3000 calories out
so you have to do the math
If you can eat 750 calories a day you'll lose 750 calories every day
and you'll lose a pound every 4 days
(and 10 pounds in 40 days)
even more when you factor in the calories you burn through daily exercise
look for foods with a heavy water content, that way you'll get more food with fewer calories
canned veggies are great way to go
Also, drink a lot of water or zero calorie beverages
