Is it advisable to cook chicken w/ marinade, frozen veggies, and rice together?!

Question: Is it advisable to cook chicken w/ marinade, frozen veggies, and rice together?
I want to be able to do something like cook chicken and include the marinade, and cook it with frozen veggies, and if possible, add water to cook rice all in one pan. Either cook in oven stove top or both. thoughts? What would the timing be like for adding ingredients?

Hi Richard,

Yes, you can cook chicken with this method. We (culturally speaking: Spanish)
make a few dishes this way. Instead of water, I recommend you use chicken broth.
If you don't have broth, chicken base (prepared granule type seasoning)
or beef bouillon cubes will enhance the flavor of your dish.

Let it cook for at least 20-25 minutes on med heat. It should taste great.

Frozen vegies require very little cooking. Once hot they are usually ready unless you want mush. You can cook the chicken and rice together, just follow the rice directions and place the chicken with it. A few minutes before its done add the vegies.

the rice will never cook like that, it needs steam

you can do it if you cook the rice ahead of time on the stove and add it in
you can buy that "boil in a bag" rice to make it easier

yes...especially if you have a rice cooker...it will steam everything perfectly.
