Do food savers by tilia last?!

I am thinking about buying a foodsaver. I am planning on doing A lot with it. Hence, a lot of use. I am reading reviews about the gasket wearing down etc. Do these food savers last years or can I expect a few years of life only if that. The reason being, I am looking at some more expensive brands that would possibly last 3 times longer etc. I like foodsavers attachaments though. I don't know, I have never owned a foodsaver system before. There is soo many of the dang tilia units out there, Its hard to even look to compare.

Any tips.
