Can you reheat food with anchovies in it?!

Question: Can you reheat food with anchovies in it?
I made a great mac and cheese dish last night which called for 2 anchovy fillets to be blended into the sauce. We had quite a bit leftover and I was about to reheat some for my supper when my mum told me notti because anchovies can give you food poisoning if reheated... I've never heard this before, is it true? I don't want to waste the leftovers if I don't have to!

It depends on how old the leftovers are. If you are reheating them the next day or even almost a week later I'd say you are safe. You definitely won't get food poisoning. I've reheated fish plenty of times and that is all anchovies are.

You can reheat it once only. So you will be safe to reheat some as long as it is heated to a decent temperature.
Stick it in the oven for ten mins

anchovies will not give you food poisoning if reheated, were the leftovers stored properly?

depends how long you cook it
