Mac & Cheese Cheeses?!

Question: Mac & Cheese Cheeses?
I always make my macaroni with sharp cheddar cheese but I want to change it up sometimes. I tried mozarella but that was too rubbery. Which cheese do you use for your Macaroni & cheese?

I love Mac & Cheese....

sharp Cheddar
provolone
mozzarella
Colby-Monterey Jack
Or
Asiago
Romano
Or
Gouda
Smokey Cheddar
Parmesan

Hope this helps...

You know, I'm sort of a traditionalist when it comes to Mac and Cheese, but I sometimes also add a combination of some of these:

1. A little gorgonzola or blue cheese
2. Smoked gouda
3. Fontina
4. American
5. Swiss or Jarlsburg
6. Irish Cheddar

If you're a fan of gorgonzola you can combine it with white cheddar. I typically do 3 parts white cheddar and 1 part (or a bit more) gorgonzola.

We aren't real big on mac and cheese around here.
You can also use jack, pepper jack, swiss, provolone, smoked gouda would be nice.

My favourite is sharp cheddar too, but I also like parmesan, german butter cheese and gouda.

a young gruyere definately, it's super creamy & maybe some cheddar to give it some bite. I like a lil ground mustard & hot sauce in my mac & cheese.

add a bit of heavy cream in with the mozz. I love fontina cheese blue cheese cheddar cheese a slice of American cheese goat cheese Parmesan Romano.... it's endless. mix it up!

Sharp cheddar and pepper jack are two of my favs
