chocolate on chocolate pie using crushed timtams for the crust (if you are in the USA, target has them in the cookie aisle, they are pepperidge farm cookies)

in your food processor, mix a package of timtams (dark chocolate is my favorite, but this time of year i think you can only get milk chocolate) with 1/3 stick butter or margarine and press into pie plate. put in the freezer while you make the filling.

heat up about 10 oz heavy cream to almost boiling and then pour over 8 oz chocolate chips (i do milk chocolate chips if dark chocolate crust and vice versa) mix with a spatula until all the chocolate is melted and then use your mixer until it's thick. pour into the pie plate.

take the rest of the heavy cream (10 oz is about 1 1/2 pints so you'd have some left over if you bought a quart or 2 pints) and about 2 teaspoons powdered/confectioner's sugar and beat with your mixer until thick. put this on top of the chocolate in the pie plate.

garnish with chocolate shavings.

I am going from memory on the chocolate part of the filling - you may want to look up a mousse recipe and use that as the filling instead if you want to be safe.

I have a desert I make that requires no baking.

Banana Split Pie

Buy a graham cracker crust at the store or make one if you want. Get a large can of crushed pineapples (drained), 1 small bottle of cherries, 1 large container of cool whip, 2 bananas, crushed pecans (can be omitted), 1 bag of shredded coconut (can be omitted).

Put slices of bananas on top of graham cracker crust, spread 1/2 can of pineapples over bananas, spread half of cool whip on top of pineapples, then repeat one more time (bananas, pineapple, cool whip). Dot cherry halves on top of cool whip, sprinkle pecans, and then shredded coconut on top.

You can use vanilla pudding between the graham cracker crust and bananas if you want a different variation, then continue as above.
