what should i make my boyfriend for dinner?!

Question: What should i make my boyfriend for dinner?
Today we both get off early and we both have been working a lot of hours. I was thinking turkey meatloaf with onions, green peppers, and celery. Mashed potatos stemed broccli and cresents. But it doesn't really sound that good. Any idead help. And I still have to go shopping so I can make anything but it needs to take less then 1 1/2 to make.

Oooh, do new york strips w/ grilled onions and mushrooms over top.

Serve with a butter, sour cream and chive baked potato and either cheesy broccoli, steamed artichoke or asparagus sauteed in garlic infused olive oil w/ a little salt and pepper.

Dessert...nothing beats fresh strawberry's and chocolate sauce.

if you need to use the turkey meat - my version of meatloaf....

mix 1 egg, 1 package onion soup mix, 1/2 jar salsa, some shredded cheese, some parmesan, and enough bread crumbs to give everything a nice texture

if you need measurements - a handful of shredded cheese about 1/4 cup and about 1/4 to 1/3 on the parm

mix it all together real thoroughly and put in the loaf pan, sprinkle some parm on top and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes....

it's meatloaf, but it's not.

My favourite quick-and-easy meal to impress my man is a good steak with red wine and mushroom sauce, served with crushed peas (with butter, black pepper and a splash of lemon juice), broccoli, or green beans, and potato wedges or oven fries. It's so easy but so special!

The recipe I use for the red wine sauce is here: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_an… except I leave out the beef stock and add a splash of worcester sauce instead.

This chicken parmigiana recipe is the quickest and tastiest one I have found. This recipe takes approximately 15 minutes of prep time and about 20-30 minutes to cook. Very tasty and simple to make. Every time I make this meal I get compliments. It is embarrassingly easy.
Ingredients

4 chicken breasts

1 egg

1/2 cup of flour

1 cup plain breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

A few of your favourite spices

A can of Spaghetti sauce

noodles of your choice

shredded mozzarella cheese

serves 4 people

Take spices, parmesan, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and combine in a bowl

Take another bowl and add your flour.

Beat an egg in another bowl. You should now have three bowls in front of you.

Put a chicken breast in your flour bowl and turn a few times until chicken breast looks completely dry and covered in flour. This is the trick to make the crumbs stick really well.

Now take breast and put in to egg bowl. Make sure breast is covered in egg.

Take the breast and drop in to the bread crumbs. They should stick to it quite nice at this point.

Repeat for all the chicken breasts.

Put the chicken in an oven safe dish and set oven to about 375. Cook for approximately 20 minutes.
When cooked take out of the oven and spread a little tomato sauce on top of the chicken. Now take a little of the mozzarella cheese and cover top of sauce.

Cook for another 3 minutes until cheese is completely melted on top.

Serving

I like to serve this dish on a bed of noodles. This meal goes great with a piece of garlic bread and a nice glass of wine. Enjoy!!!!

I promise you that this meal will impress everyone you cook it for. It is so simple you have to try it once. Very tasty and easy to modify. You can switch chicken for veal.

Ps...pick up some spumoni for dessert
